Leadership Coaching
My coaching approach is to help individuals and/or teams solve their own problems and improve their performance. My skill as a coach is to unlock unconscious thought, aid the exploration of ideas and empower positive action towards self-defined goals.
Using conversation to help unblock an individual or group’s potential, coaching is always client led with the coach first asking the client to identify their desired outcome for each session to help them achieve their overall defined goal. The aim is not to offer advice, share experiences, or reshape a client’s thinking but to help them recognise and reshape their own.
Through coaching, I help leaders who are run down and stuck become unstuck, healthy, and achieve the life they desire. I use a number of techniques including powerful coaching questions, listening, and playback to encourage clarity of purpose and direction, broader thinking, personal reflection, self-awareness, identification of values, possible actions, and desired outcomes. Only by experiencing it do you appreciate and understand the powerful impact it can have.
I coach my clients for a minimum of 6 x 1-hour sessions or as part of wider leadership development training. Although a couple of sessions can still prove useful, it takes time, challenge, and reflection to make life-changing transitions. I offer a free, no-obligation discovery session to enable potential clients to get to know me and experience my style of coaching, only then do you decide if I am the right coach for you. Most important is that the coaching relationship is built on respect, and trust and that the client feels entirely comfortable sharing their subconscious thoughts and feelings without judgement.
I am an ICF credentialled coach requiring me to have met stringent education and experience requirements. As a member of the ICF, I adhere to strict ethical guidelines as part of ICF’s mission to protect and serve coaching consumers.
